Michael Hampton

Michael was born and raised on Chicago's far south side. He started singing in the church choir at an early age and dreamed of becoming a professional singer one day.
Michael has over twenty-two years experience in the music industry. He has performed with such notable artists as Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, Najee, and Stanley Turrentine to name a few. He has also performed in many music venues including the Jazz Fest on Paradise Island Bahamas, Carnival Cruise Lines, Dockside Night Club in Cleveland, Ohio, Silver Dollar Casino in Reno, Nevada and numerous local festivals and casinos throughout the Midwest.
Michael was the founder and show coordinator for the "Extreme Heat Band" and has utilized his awesome vocal talent in musical revues such as "The Sultry Singing Men of Soul."
He is currently group leader and one of the co-founders of “The Voices”.
Michael has a distinct voice that ranges from second tenor to bass scales. This great gift allows him to sing sensuous ballads with enticing baritones that are always a crowd pleaser.

His favorite artists and vocal inspirations are Lou Rawls, Frankie Beverly, Luther Vandross, Will Downing, and Barry White.
