Isaac Wooten

Isaac is considered one of the leading tenors in the Chicago area and has captivating audiences for many years.

As a youth he formed a pantomime group that mimicked the Jackson Five. This group evolved into the "Midnight Sensations" and later "The Horizon." Isaac attended Kenwood High School and received extensive vocal training under the tutelage of Lena McLin - world renowned vocal trainer, who has produced many great vocalists such as Grammy Award Winner, R. Kelly. Isaac's voice can be heard on commercials for such companies as McDonald's, Soft Sheen, and Nelson Brothers Furniture. In 1985, Isaac recorded and released a song called "In a Heartbeat" on the Chicago-based Jesay Record label. While still with the Horizon, in 1988, he traveled with the group to Harlem, New York to perform at the world-famous Apollo Theater's amateur night competition. The group rose to the occasion with a first place victory in the competition. "The Horizon" performed with many artists including the System, D-Train, Lakeside, Enchantment, Shirley Murdock, Pieces of a Dream Full Force, the Force MD's and Alexander O'Neal.
